It’s Summer, it’s hot, and the working year for 2018 has begun. Heading back to work & shifting gears in your wardrobe is a high priority. On the one hand, it means more choices in your wardrobe with dresses & skirts, but this doesn’t suit everyone. What do you do when a dress isn’t your natural go to?
As a pants wearing lady myself, I don’t want to give them up just because it’s hot. It’s what I feel good in, and it’s what I think is most flattering for my body. And, based on the outfits I’ve pulled together this week, you’ll see I don’t have to compromise.
My style mostly works around neutrals, natural fibres & classic unfussy shapes. And these are the reasons why I’m so drawn to the Sassind product.
To get the year started, I’ll be teaming up with Sassind for Free 1:1 styling sessions. From next week, you can meet me in person & gain plenty of genuine insider knowledge to update your Summer work or weekend wardrobe. The Sassind pop-up store in the Melbourne CBD is open for just a couple more weeks until the end of January. These are free 30 min appointments for a short time only, where I can share some tiny shifts in perspective to help you feel better in pulling your outfit together.

In the spirit of showing rather than telling, I’ve pulled together outfits all using the harem pants from the Sassind collection. When I first viewed them online, I was hesitant. The shape was too exaggerated. I wasn’t convinced…..until I tried them on, that is. They have been a surprisingly versatile & comfortable piece. So light, with no clinging, because they’re made of 100% silk. And yes, there’s plenty of fabric, but it’s so light, it drapes well. All outfits are styled with the harem pants.

Top: 100% silk freestyle blouse . I’m a size 16, but wearing size M.
Pants: 100% silk harem pants. Again, I’m a 16, and wearing a size M in the pants.
Slides: Ponyhair slides $109 – available up to size 43. I’m a size 41.

Top: Linen high neck blouse $109. I’m wearing size S.
This top is a slightly stiffer linen, but will loosen with washing over time. Definitely size down by a couple of sizes.

Dress: Linen relaxed fit dress $139. I’m wearing a size L. Tailored fit around the shoulders & bust, with a loose & exaggerated fit around the hips.
Accessories: my own

Hi Louise, thanks for the fabulous review and your beautiful styling. I have those pants and they are fabulous. I love the ease, the style and the fact that they transcend trend. They are a great investment.
I have been telling myself I don’t need the relaxed fit dress, but now I think I do lol xx
